Designer

Background video
Background loop replaces the old Background Video feature. In background loop you can add multiple assets (videos or images). For images you can specify how long they should be shown in seconds. Assets will be shown / played in order in a loop.
Background loop can be edited in a window that can be accessed from “Project Sidebar” > “Background Loop” > “Edit Background Loop”.

Widgets
There is a new widget for adding PDF assets to your content.
On a sticky page you can set for every widget excluded pages, so widgets can be shown conditionally. E.g.: you can create a home button that is not shown on the home page.

Data Binding – Hide Value
With hide value you can hide widgets based on data binding.

Widget Animations
On Widget animations you can set its length. New widget animations added:

• Fade in
• Zoom In / Out
• Move Down / Up / Right / Left
• Blur In

Iframe Widget
For Iframe widgets, you can set if it should reload when it is shown on the player on multi-page contents.

Assets panel
Assets panel is removed from the Project Side menu. You can create asset widgets with the Image / Video / Pdf widget create tool.

Asset Upload
Asset upload is possible in the same upload dialog box as the SCREEENR Admin. Users do not have to switch windows.

Video Assets
Video assets are not added any more as HTML Videos by default from Assets panel. Users now have a choice to add videos as a Project / Page background video or as an HTML Video

Video Validation
Video playing can be resource heavy and the devices usually can not play more than 2 videos at the same time, so we added a validation checker for the videos, to make sure users can only save contents that are playable on their devices. It is only allowed to play a maximum of 2 videos at the same time.

Rename pages
Pages can be renamed by double clicking on its current name on the Pages bar to make it much quicker

QR Code DataBinding
QR Code widgets can use data binding as their value now. If the user wants to use QR Codes for pairing (show QR code if a variable is not given e.g.: ean) you can do it by checking „Bind as value”

Manager

Assets: Upload
Asset upload is checking if the asset is already uploaded so you won’t create duplications by accident
Duplication detection can take longer for large video files, but much faster than the unnecessary upload

Assets: Tree View
There is a new view for assets, where users can browse assets easier within folder structures
In this view users can rename folders

Text Widget: Number formatting
Text within text widgets can be pre-formatted by size and separators

Transition Container Widget
Moving widgets together by adding a container over the widgets. This container will move every widgets inside the container horizontally and vertically.
Setting the speed of the moving widget is possible (slow / normal / faster / fast)

QRCode Widget
QRCode widget arrived, that will show the Device ID by default, but you can override it with a text value
Adding data binding to a QRCode widget will be only visible if the value is undefined. For example you can set data binding to context: EAN and the QRCode will be visible only if EAN is not given in the context variables of the device
EAN based pairing is easier

Data binding
Mapping fallback value: set a fallback value to a data binding mapping. If the bound value isn’t mapped the fallback value will be rendered
Bind as Value: alternative way of binding has been added what leaves rendering untouched
Widget List: create lists based on data sources. Simply create widgets for the first item of the list, bind these widgets with a path based on the first item of the data list, then create a list in Page sider and add these widgets to the list.
Fetch Endpoint (Headers): Add http headers to Fetch type data endpoints

Admins can upload JSON files by this feature a managed datasource can be manually updated

Attributes
Site attributes describe the site in a structured, understandable way

Events
Creation of more fluid contents made possible with new event categories, like page events and idle events
Events are now visible on the canvas in events layer

Quick Actions
Quick actions (style property changes, asset changes, multiple object alignment and object fit) for text/image widgets and multiselection has been added

Sticky page
You can make one page sticky under Page side panel. Sticky page will be displayed over other pages to show widgets over any page

Fullscreen
You can expand editor to fullscreen mode from the toolbar

Validation check before save
If there is a conflict in you content the editor will not let you save it, but it will show you an error message about your conflicts, what could possibly lead to malfunctions in playback like mutliple navigations in navigation type event or idle event with navigation type page events

Column width can be changed with the mouse directly in the table

Devices
Remote management and status check made easier
New column on Devices with “device status” – displays 3 values: Offline, Online (fallback) and Online

You can easily set background videos to pages
Background video panel shows the thumbnail of the background video and you can select the video from this panel
